Open Generation 5G Consortium Welcomes the Center for Connected Autonomy and AI at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) as a New Member

MITRE Engenuity Open Generation is pleased to welcome the Center for Connected Autonomy and AI at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) to our roster of major university centers conducting research and developing innovative solutions for public good as members of our consortium. FAU joins Virginia Tech and Northeastern University as members of Open Generation, bringing their world-class researchers, dedicated to seeking answers to some of humanity’s most challenging problems.

“The Center’s focus on building an entrepreneurial ecosystem around networked AI systems and smart environments, and challenging its students and staff to develop technology to improve our lives, is a perfect fit with Open Generation’s mission.” – Ajit Kahaduwe

The Center for Connected Autonomy and AI (ca-ai.fau.edu) sits in the cross-roads of four FAU-wide research institutes focused on healthcare, the environment, technology, and computing. “The Center’s focus on building an entrepreneurial ecosystem around networked AI systems and smart environments and challenging its students and staff to develop technology to improve our lives is a perfect fit with Open Generation’s mission,” said Ajit Kahaduwe, General Manager of Open Generation and Managing Director of Incubation and New Product Development of MITRE Engenuity. “As we expand our focus in 2023 to include more IoT use cases, partners like CA-AI, who are already focused on the “Internet of Everything”, will help the consortium get to its 5G future, faster.”
